    Charles Lau is a cardiothoracic radiologist at VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System and has worked on assignment at Google since 2019 in Artificial Intelligence. He is an Associate Clinical Professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and an active iOS app developer with experience in Objective-C & Swift and a strong interest in UX/UI. Dr. Lau earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University at Buffalo and began his medical career as an interventional radiologist on the faculty of the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.

    

Dr. Lau is strongly committed to safeguarding the long-term viability and health of the radiology profession through the development of groundbreaking assistive technologies and the adaptation of best practices from the restaurant and commercial aviation industries.



    Dr. Lau is the recipient of multiple teaching awards at Cleveland Clinic and Stanford University, and previously served as Chief of Thoracic Imaging at Cleveland Clinic and Director of Diagnostic Radiology at VA Palo Alto Healthcare System.
